This past weekend, we attended the wedding of one of my husband's former football players. Daniel was one of the kids that we knew, even from a very young age, that he was special. He is a very, very hard worker and extremely humble. Daniel went from an extremely stand-out high school career to an exceptional collegiate football career at CMU. After graduation, he was drafted by the Chicago Bears where he signed a multi-million dollar contract. He was placed on Injured Reserve for his first season, but we are really hoping to be able to drive to Chicago to see him in action next season.
The wedding was very enjoyable. Dan and Candice seem very happy and make a very handsome, fun-loving couple. The meal was delicious and I must say that I have never seen so many large bodies in my life. Obviously, a lot of the attendees were football players. We sat at a table with Dan's agent/his wife, along with 2 other pro players-one free agent and one player for the Miami Dolphins. I joked with my husband that this was probably the ONLY time in his life that he was one of the smallest people sitting at the our table!! All in all, we had a very nice time and wish this young couple the very best as they begin their marriage journey.....And, GO BEARS!
