Christmas was over four months ago, but this weekend was just like Christmas again for our kids (OK, and us adults, too!). My parents got the kids a new trampoline for Christmas, and it is one of those gifts that really didn't seem real until the kids could get it out of the box and experience it. So, yesterday afternoon, we set up the trampoline, and the kids had a blast breaking it in. We have heard so many mixed reviews about trampolines.....whether they are safe....whether the benefits of the exercise outweight the potential for injury. We decided that we will just make sure to have safety policies and supervision in place to try to minimize the risk.....after all, what in life doesn't involve some type of risk? Hopefully, we won't be eating those words with stitches, trips to the ER, and bumped noggins. For now, the kids are just enjoying the fun and exercise out in the fresh air. And what is life without a little bounce? Thanks, Granpa and Grandma S., for such a fun and entertaining gift.....it will certainly see lots and lots of use!
Even Mommy got in on the jumping action. The blurriness of these photos really gets you in on the action.....my 3-year-old son took the photo of me and my daughter while we were jumping and while he was jumping and taking the photo at the same time, so it's amazing they are as clear as they are!
Monday involved lots of dishes, laundry, paying bills, searching high and low for a lost memory card (found it just a few minutes ago!), and planning out my last week of courses. This next week and a-half will involve piles and piles and PILES of grading, so I will be happy when that is all done, recorded, and another semester closed out. Hope you had a brilliant Monday.
