Counting Today's Blessings.

I am thankful for so many things today. Like the gorgeous pink-purple-and-various-shades-of-orange sunset out my back window this morning. And games of Candy Land with my kids. And games of Pretty-Pretty Princess with my play therapy students. And getting to teach a whole college course all about play. And bowls of hot soup, slices of fresh-baked bread with peanut butter, and kids loving this wholesome food. And new colorful stoneware bowls from my mother-in-law, who knew that they would be perfect in my kitchen. And a special after-Christmas package from my college roommate.....I just knew it would be good when I spied the tell-tale red wrapping with the simple Pottery Barn label with off-white twill ribbon. And more melting snow. And plenty of cuddling with my kids. And a special reading time with my daughter before she drifted off to sleep. And a productive church leadership meeting. And some sit-down and talk time with my husband. And my computer. And creative blogs that inspire me. And Caffeine Free Diet Coke. And tomorrow is Friday and pay day and my son's second day of preschool. And a birth announcement--welcome little Jaden William Lee. And no bills in the mail!! And just thanking God for all these little blessings which are really, really big stuff after all.
